This is your project

Our EMC / Navigator team takes care of the `Siemens Navigator`. This worldwide software solution from the Siemens Building Technologies Division is a cloud-based platform for the energy and sustainability management of buildings and properties, which is intended to support customers in increasing the energy efficiency of their buildings by minimizing energy consumption and the emission of climate-damaging greenhouse gases.

 

Automation QA Engineer Midlevel

You

  • have minimum 1 year of experience in software testing web applications
  • have minimum 1 year of experience in writing Javascript code
  • have minimum 1 year of experience with test automation
  • have knowledge of (generated) HTML/CSS structures
  • have knowledge of QA concepts and processes (test types, test levels, what a test plan is, test case design techniques)
  • have a basic understanding of software architectures and concept
  • have the ability to work well with other engineering and analytical teams to arrive at optimal solutions to technical challenges.
  • have proficiency in English - both written and conversational (B1 or higher)
  • have the ability to work independently as well as working in a team
  • have the desire to learn the domain and its' business processes
  • have an agile and team orientated mindset

You will

  • be responsible for stable working, well-structured automated test cases
  • be responsible for maintaining a future-proof, extensible architecture
  • be responsible for continuous sync with the QA automation team and with the responsible development team
  • build up architecture and restructure a small set of existing TestCafe test cases
  • plan and write automated test cases based on existing manual test cases
  • write automated tests based on test scenarios from legacy Selenium-based automated test cases
  • identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs
  • track quality assurance metrics and identify ways to improve
